Last week, our dating advice expert Annie Gleason was interviewed as a special guest on San Francisco’s local radio show with Ronn Owens of KGO.
Annie introduced our new LoveBeginsAt site and discussed some of our interesting survey data we received from surveying 1,000 40+ singles. Some of the findings include:
- More than half of 40+ singles say their sexual preferences have changed in the last twenty years
- 51 percent of 40+ singles are more willing to date someone who isn’t their “type” than they were in their 20s
- 40 percent of 40+ singles would rather sit in traffic than go on a bad first date
- 36 percent of singles believe they will meet their soul mate faster using online dating and 59 percent believe that they have more than one soul mate.
During the interview, Annie answered questions from callers about how to find someone after a divorce, after the loss of a loved one and how to create a successful online profile. Some advice Annie offered includes “A dating profile is an Ad, so let’s keep it positive,” “make people laugh in your profile,” and “your photos should be no less than 2 years old and no more than 20 pounds over/under your actual weight.”
Ronn Owens has had the top rated program with KGO Newstalk 810 for over 35 years. In that time he has had thousands of guests in the hot seat, including President Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Steve Martin.
