Spread on bread in the scented garden,
An original pizza sauce to impress your friends,
With scrambled eggs on a lazy sunny morning,
As a soup garnish for lunch at the office,
Or a dip in front of the football game,
And even in a chicken salad on Friday night.

It’s healthy and can be eaten many ways other than just as a pasta sauce.
Yes, you guessed right, today Crumbs are sharing their secret pesto recipe.

Homemade with great attention, lovingly crushed with your bare hands, this pesto is tastier than any other you might find in a jar on the second shelf of the supermarket.

This is a delicious recipe for Pesto

Serves: 4

bunch of leaves/herbs – about 30g
40g nuts – lightly toasted
40g cheese, grated
half a clove of garlic, crushed
75 ml virgin olive oil
Pinch of salt
Grind of pepper
Optional squeeze of lemon

Place the herbs, grated cheese, crushed garlic and the nuts (cooled, after their toasting) in a food processor. I use the food processor attachment of my handheld blender. Whizz up, season and add the oil. Taste. Add more of what you fancy, and maybe a squirt of lemon juice or some lemon zest.
